Experience Bonnard: Designed by India Mahdavi at the NGV
The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is proud to present Bonnard: Designed by India Mahdavi. Pierre Bonnard, a luminary of the twentieth century, is revered for his unparalleled ability to capture emotion through color. His close associate, Henri Matisse, lauded him as 'a great painter, for today and unquestionably for the future'.
Opened in June 2023, Melbourne's acclaimed Winter Masterpieces® exhibition shines a spotlight on Bonnard's effulgent works, enriched further by the immersive scenography crafted by the renowned Paris-based designer, India Mahdavi.
To commemorate this event, SOH, with the NGV, introduces two exquisite candles infused with distinctive aromas. Twilight, or the Croquet Game elegantly blends cedar, sandalwood, French Figue, and amber, while Purple Almond Tree in Bloom reveals layers of saffron flowers, truffle, leather, and patchouli. Each candle has a burn time of approximately 70+ hours.
